LG officially launches LG Q6, Q6 Plus, Q6a

LG has officially introduced the LG Q6, the LG Q6 Plus and the LG Q6a. This new range of smartphones takes up several features and technologies from the LG G6, such as the FullVision display, with significantly lower technical specifications for a more affordable price.

 

The main asset of the LG G6 is undoubtedly its FullVision screen. With a resolution of 1440 × 2880, this screen is distinguished mainly by its unique ratio 18: 9 on the market. This ratio allows the user to enjoy a large screen without compromising the form factor of the smartphone. Only the Galaxy S8, and its Infinity Display 18.5: 9 display a similar ratio. Unfortunately, in both cases, it is necessary to invest in a high-end device to take advantage of this innovation.

Today, however, LG changes the situation by presenting the LG HQ, LG QG + and LG QGa. These three affordable smartphones also feature a FullVision display. Each has a 5.5-inch FullHD + 18: 9 display with a resolution of 2160 × 1080 for a pixel density of 442 ppi.

Like the G6, these three phones also feature curved edges and minimal screen borders for easy one-handed use. The metal frame is made of aluminum of series 7000. Under the hood, one finds a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 435.

The LG Q6 offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space. The Q6 Plus offers 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of storage space. Finally, the Q6a is satisfied with 2GB of RAM for 16GB storage. The three smartphones are equipped with a non removable 3000 mAh battery.

Note that the three models are equipped with a 13 MP back-up camera and a wide-angle 5 MP front-end camera. This webcam features Face Recognition facial recognition technology from LG to compensate for the absence of a fingerprint scanner.

Finally, the three versions run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, covered by the LG UX 6.0 overlay. Several features introduced by the LG G6, such as the Square Camera Mode, are also part.

For now, it is not known when the family of the LG Q6, initially dubbed LG G6 Mini, will be marketed in Europe and America. The Asian launch is scheduled for next August. The price has not been revealed. Given the technical characteristics significantly lower than those of the LG G6, one can expect very attractive prices.
